Today we’re talking with Brenda Adelman, who is an actress, director, coach, speaker, author and creator of the one-woman show, My Brooklyn Hamlet.  Having performed her show to over 12,000 people, she tells the tragic story about her family;   her father murdered her mother and then remarried her mother’s sister.  Brenda explains how she initially kept that story hidden inside because of the shame she felt. She struggled with grief, loss, anger, and depression.  Then something happened… She decided to participate in an acting class assignment that turned everything around, ultimately sparking her journey towards forgiveness.  Brenda has since written a book called, My Father Killed My Mother and Married My Aunt: Forgiving the Unforgivable, and she also coaches and teaches various workshops, including how to forgive and share your own story.
