Conscious Communications: Your Step-by-Step Guide to Harnessing the Power of Your Words to Change Your Mind, Your Choices, and Your Life

Whether we realize it or not, the words we use dictate and control our lives. The persistent messages we repeat can frame our thoughts and trap us into a mind-set that is difficult to break. This mind-set often manifests itself with statements like “I can’t,” “I’m not good enough,” and “I’ll never find the [insert the blank] I want.” Many times, we don’t stop to consider the profound impact that these negative, limiting words have on our mentality, life choices, and the path of possibility that we manifest.

After gathering years of research and personal experience with how words affect individuals mentally and emotionally, business owner and communications specialist Mary Shores realized that there is a life-changing theme persistent throughout ancient traditions and spiritual foundations that is supported by scientific professionals. They all agree on one recurring truth: Words have the power to create and transform.

Mary took her discoveries and created easy-to-follow, step-by-step practices that can transform each area of your life. Based on two decades of research, Mary teaches how you can create new neural pathways simply by changing your words. You can align your words, thoughts, and actions to produce the results you want. Conscious Communications can show you how!

Leaving The Light: and loving it

by Justine Renson

The journal of Justine Renson, former member of The Light.
“I will never forget the evening I came over to Elizabeth and Ken’s apartment in New Rochelle to tell them I had — what? All I remember is I plopped down in one of the armchairs and announced, ‘The shit is about to hit the fan.’  I had tried to extricate myself from meetings gradually. I had met Tom in the diner and told him I wanted to go to lectures only. He said I could not go to lectures without going to practice sessions too. He said if he let me do that, then other people would want to do the same thing and he’d have to let them. So I settled and said OK, I would continue going to both sessions and lectures.

I called Tom from Elizabeth’s house — felt my queasy stomach, took a deep breath and told him I was stopping meetings. This was one of the scariest phone calls I ever made of my entire life. But I did it. I knew I had to. I felt like I was saving my own life, saving my sanity, giving myself permission to have a life, setting myself free from prison. Setting myself free! I did it.
And it was over.”

by Clare Sultmann

Clare Sultmann offers an extraordinary and inspiring story of courage and endurance.

Excerpt from actual Police Report:

“About 6:20am on Friday 18/8/00 vehicle 1 was driving south on Old South Head Road approaching Curlewis Street at Bondi. At the same time, vehicle 1 turned left and collided with the pedestrian who was on the crossing at the time.

The driver of vehicle 1 braked heavily but the front near side wheel came to rest on the right upper leg of the pedestrian. The vehicle skidded on her leg for about 2 meters. As that occurred the pedestrian’s left leg became tangled around the truck’s steering components. “

Inside Life Behind Bars in America

By Michael G. Santos

American jails and prisons confine nearly 13.5 million people each year. Despite these disturbing numbers, little is known about life inside beyond the mythology of popular culture.

Michael G. Santos, a federal prisoner nearing the end of his second decade of continuous confinement, documents the lives of the men warehoused in the American prison system. Inside: Life Behind Bars in America, his first book for the general public, takes us behind those bars and into the chaos of the cellblock.

Capturing the voices of his fellow prisoners with perfect pitch, Santos makes the tragic–and at times inspiring–stories of men from the toughest gang leaders to the richest Wall Street criminals come alive. From drug schemes, murders for hire, and even a prostitution ring that trades on the flesh of female prison guards, this book contains the never-before-seen details of prison life that at last illuminate the varied ways in which men experience life behind bars in America.

Man’s Search for Meaning

By Viktor E. Frankl

Psychiatrist Viktor Frankl’s memoir has riveted generations of readers with its descriptions of life in Nazi death camps and its lessons for spiritual survival. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of others he treated later in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose. Frankl’s theory-known as logotherapy, from the Greek word logos (“meaning”)-holds that our primary drive in life is not pleasure, as Freud maintained, but the discovery and pursuit of what we personally find meaningful.

At the time of Frankl’s death in 1997, Man’s Search for Meaning had sold more than 10 million copies in twenty-four languages. A 1991 reader survey for the Library of Congress that asked readers to name a “book that made a difference in your life” found Man’s Search for Meaning among the ten most influential books in America.

The Real Estate Guide to Safety: Unleashing the Power of YOU

By  Andrew Wooten C.P.P  The goal of this book is simply to share ways you can do your job safer. REALTORS(r) face more on-the-job risks than many other business professionals. This book was written to give you additional options as you show properties, when you conduct open houses and when you meet prospects for the first time. After reading the content within, you will understand why many agents have requested this book, and why people who have attended Andrew Wooten’s classes return over and over. The reason is simple – you cannot change how you might react in every threatening situation by reading through this book once or by sitting in one class. This book was written with the intent that you would read it all the way through and then review the applicable chapters before you enter into that related situation. With so much to remember as you move through your day, slowing down long enough to read a few pages might be asking a lot. But agents who have survived an attack, and those who did not survive would all urge you to take a few minutes every now and then to review the lessons in this book until they become second nature. With all of Andrew’s defense training and weapons expertise, the most powerful weapon that has saved him many times is a simple rule. It’s what Andrew calls the Golden Rule. It has saved hundreds of thousands people across America. It can save you too, if you just listen. SO TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND JUST REMEMBER ANDREW’S GOLDEN RULE. “You are your best weapon, your mind, voice, and body. Listen and trust your inner voice. It is the best weapon you have.”
