Author of Standing on My Own Two Feet, Clare Sultmann is an example of a living miracle, and survivor against all odds.  On Aug. 18, 2000, when she was 23, Clare went on her morning jog in Sydney, Australia.  She was hit by a 10-ton garbage truck on a pedestrian crossing.  The truck hit her, resting itself on top of Clare’s legs. She was pinned for 37 minutes. Crazy as it sounds, Clare was also fully conscious the whole time. Clare’s story is not only about survival, suffering 37 surgeries, 10 years of rehabilitation and learning to walk again, but also of what she describes as coming out stronger than she ever thought possible.  This is Clare’s story….
